Is IE slow today? Is just my connection? I'm using Netscape now.

IE is always slow compared to Opera, or Firefox.

I hate to report...but my IE is running fine. I only use IE SP2 though.
..You may want to check your system processes, then spyware.

If you wish IE to be as fast as other Browsers simply increase the number of download sessions. Microsoft follows the standards by default, but you can change this easily.

See support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kben-us282402

You will need to put a semicolon each side of the en-us bit as the Wincustomize website seems to want to delete the semicolons each time I submit it.

I was going to try that alpha-prime, not that I really use IE much at all these days, but when I do it would be nice if it was a little faster. On dialup, you try to wring out every little bit you can. But I'm only slightly comfortable messing with the registry, and the instruction  "On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry values:" has me baffled, because there's no such entry in my Edit menu.

I also find it amusing that MS states "Changing the maximum number of connections beyond two is a violation of Internet standards" .... since when is MS concerned with following internet standards? The main reason certain sites don't work correctly with non-IE browsers is because IE doesn't follow standards.

I'm trying Firefox. It's much friendlier. IE is slower than hell today. So far, firefox is cute & FASTER.

FireFox is indeed rendering the pages faster - but try takeing a look at the difference in memory usage....

Firefox was cool. I rather stick with CrazyBrowser. It's more friendlier to me.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that Avant was just basically a layer on top of IE. That is to say it is actually running IE underneath it all and is not, in fact, a different browser.

IE is pretty fast for me. I like Firefox and Opera as well, but still use IE most often.
